Free As A Bird - quick & simple

Here are the details for our first project this week using a brand new stamp set called Free As A Bird.  After the reaction from my crafty ladies today I have a feeling this stamp set is going to be VERY popular.

This project started with my favourite Stitched Rectangle Framelits - I just can't seem to stop using them!

We cut a rectangle from Old Olive and a smaller one from ww card.

The ww rectangle was then placed in the Country Floral embossing folder and run through the Big Shot.  This embossing folder is stunning - the depth and the detail from just a single pass through the Big Shot is just amazing.

Both pieces were adhered to the note card with Tombow.

We used some of the lovely Bird Ballad DSP - the papers are beautiful, all my favourite colours in there!  We used a Stitched Shape Framelit to cut a bird from the DSP and then layered it onto a piece of Pool Party than had been cut with one of the Layering Circles Framelits.

We stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Pool Party and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.  It was then adhered to the card with Tombow (tucking it under the circle slightly).

A simple bow tied in linen thread (adhered with a rolled up glue dot) provided the finishing touch.

Here is the completed card and envelope.

We also used the embossing folder on the envelope flap - such a pretty effect that will make it stand out when it drops through someones letterbox!
