Lift Me Up - Stamp 'n' Hop
Hello and welcome to another Stamp 'N' Hop blog hop! We are a group of crafters' from around the world who love to share our love of stamping and creating using great products from Stampin' Up! If you are joining the hop from Mo or starting here with me, thanks for joining us - I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hop around with us this month.
This month we are focusing some of our favourite items from the current Annual Catalogue.
Last weekend I started removing retired items from my shelves - 71 stamp sets so far! A set called Lift Me Up caught my eye so I decided to use it one last time before it retires at the beginning of June.
I also came across some left over sheets of Classic Garage DSP - a couple of which had maps on them and they seemed perfect for what I had in mind.
Here are the colours I used - taken from the DSP.
I love making Z Fold cards, they are such fun and offer lots of opportunities to add different element. I recently came across a Z Fold with additional panels in the centre - not sure what they are called but I thought I would give one a go.
I used Basic Grey card as the base and used Versamark ink to randomly stamp clouds on the right hand panel. I then stamped out several balloons using Memento and die cut them with the coordinating framelits.
I coloured the balloons with the Stampin' Blends in the same colours. As there isn't a Crushed Curry or Tranquil Tide Blend, I used Dark Mango Melody and the Tranquil Tide Stampin' Write Markers instead.
The larger balloons on the first panel and the reverse were created using the very clever thinlits that coordinate with the stamp set.
I used 5mm strips of window sheet (acetate) to attach the balloons to the panels in the centre of the Z Fold. I also cut some clouds and adhered them in the same way.
Here is a view from the top ...
I added a white panel on the reverse so I could write on the card. I added some stamped clouds and another die cut balloon.
Here is the completed card and envelope - and yes, it does fold flat to fit into the envelope!
Although I am sad to see Lift Me Up retire there are lots of lovely new goodies in the upcoming Annual Catalogue and, shhhh - don't tell, there might be a brilliant stamp and punch combo that might just feature hot air balloons!
Next up is Anastasia - I can't wait to see what she has created. Click the image below to visit ...
I hope you have enjoyed my project; I always enjoy reading what you think of my projects and I would love you to leave a comment below.
Thanks for hopping with us.
