Joy of Sets Blog Hop Group - Something New!
Hello and welcome to another Joy of Sets Blog Hop! My name is Susan aka Craftyduckydoodah! - I live in beautiful Godmanchester near Cambridge, UK. If you are starting here or joining me from Karen, welcome - I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hop around with us.
I have been using a gorgeous new stamp set and die bundle called Good Morning Magnolia all this week for my Coffee & Cards sessions - it is proving very popular. I just can't seem to stop using it - the magnolia flowers are perfect for a spot of colouring using many different mediums and, in many different colours.
Here are the colours I used for my project.
The magnolia has been stamped onto water colour paper using Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.
I do have a rather hap hazard approach to water colouring - I just sort of smoosh the ink around and I don't mind if some areas are not coloured at all.
I used the edge die to cut a scalloped border on pieces of whisper white and seaside spray card. I stamped some splodges with a stamp from Beauty Abounds using Seaside Spray ink.
Next up is Rebecca-Jo. A list of all hop participants can be found below. Hop Thanks for hopping around with us - don't forget to leave comments!
Happy crafting.

The magnolia has been stamped onto water colour paper using Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.
I used an Aqua Painter and the colours above to colour the image - Seaside Spray is my absolute new favourite colour!
I do have a rather hap hazard approach to water colouring - I just sort of smoosh the ink around and I don't mind if some areas are not coloured at all.
However, this occasionally results in my going outside of the lines.
Top Tip
If you go outside the lines - don't panic!
Use a clean Aqua Painter to gently flood the area with water and then dab with a tissue until the colour has been removed.
I used the edge die to cut a scalloped border on pieces of whisper white and seaside spray card. I stamped some splodges with a stamp from Beauty Abounds using Seaside Spray ink.
I used the Well Written dies and whisper white card to cut 'happy'out three times. These were then layered up using Tombow.
I used my favourite Stitched Rectangle dies and the word 'birthday' from a stamp set called Well Said.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
