Memorable Mosaic for Stamp 'N Hop
Hello and welcome to another blog hop around the world with Stamp 'N Hop. If you have hopped over from the lovely Sue in Australia or you starting here with me, welcome I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hope around with us.
This month our challenge is to CASE the Annual Catalogue. CASE appears to have two meanings; Copy And Share Everything or Copy & Selectively Edit.
I decided to go with the second definition. Here is the project I chose to CASE (page 118 of the Annual Catalogue) using items from the Mosaic Mood Suite.
I used a piece of Watercolour Paper to create the background. I used clean water to dampen the paper before adding colour with Mint Macaron and Soft Suede inks.
Whilst I was waiting for the background to dry I stamped this lovely sentiment using Terracotta Tile ink and punched it out with the Timeless Label punch.
Included in the Mosaic Mood Suite of products is the most stunning Speciality Designer Series Paper.
These stunning papers have mosaic tile designs and floral imagery with shiny transparent accents.
Once the Watercolour Paper was dry I stamped the tree, stamping the leaves twice, slightly offsetting without re inking to add depth to the image. I then used one of the Rectangle Stitched Dies to create a decorate edge to the panel.
I used the same die and the next largest one to create a frame using Garden Green card.
I used some of the Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the frame to the card front. I then used Tombow to add my stamped panel inside the frame.
It was only when photographing my project that I saw a rather annoying mistake ... if you look at the top right of the frame you can see where I left a tiny gap in the foam tape that allows light to shine through. Lesson learnt, I won't make that mistake again!!
I used a small strip from one of the DSP sheets that is full of borders and adhered to the panel with Tombow. The sentiment has been raised up with Dimensionals.
The inside of the card (and the envelope) have been stamped with the lovely willow tree.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I hope you enjoyed my version of this project. I would love you to leave a comment - I always read and reply to them!
Next we are hopping over to Canada to see what Terry has to share with us.
Happy hopping!
Susan xx
