Animal Outing - Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge JOSTTT008
Hello and welcome to the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge for August.
We have another great grid for you this month, designed by Kaylin Krawczyk. I decided to use the middle line of the grid; square, animal, emboss.
I decided to take the challenge literally this month and made a 4" x 4" square card!
I then used on the Tropical dies on a square of white card to cut out a background panel.
I used some Foam Adhesive Strips on the back and then adhered to a slightly smaller piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.
For the animal element of the grid I decided to use this quirky giraffe from a stamp set called Animal Outing. I stamped three of them in Momento ink and coloured with the Stampin' Blends.
For the embossing element of the grid I used one of my favourite Stitched Shape dies (another square!) and stamped a sentiment using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder and then adhered to the card with dimensionals.
I could not resist adding one of the giraffe's upside down!
I added two little die cut branches to add a little more colour to my project.
Lots of dimension on this card - I think it would also look good in a frame, what do you think?
As I had a giraffe left over I decided to decorate the inside of the card too.
I used the now sadly retired Envelope Punch Board to make a quick envelope for my card and decorated to coordinate. I used regular Whisper White card stock. I stamped and coloured a giraffe and added two left over die cuts.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I really enjoyed this grid this month - I left it to the last minute as usual! When I was writing the post I realised I had lots of square elements to my project!
Why not head over the the Joy of Sets Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have made of this fun challenge HERE, there are some lovely projects this month.
If you haven't tried a Tic Tac Toe challenge before or a box card why not give it a go; if you are stuck in a rut or suffering from crafter's block you might just find it useful! You can also enter our challenge and share your project - there is a chance you could be our next guest designer and hop along with us next month!
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.
Thanks again to Fiona for keeping us DT Members organised and to Kaylin for choosing our grid this month.
Happy crafting!
