Painted Harvest - stepped up

We have been having so much fun this week using a stamp set called Painted Harvest for our Coffee & Cards projects creating cute hedgehogs from a sunflower stamp!

For our second project we are using the following colours.

We used a couple of sticky notes to mask off an area at the bottom of a thick whisper white panel that was cut 5 mm smaller than the card base.

The hedgehog has been stamped firstly with Crumb Cake and the detail has been added with Soft Suede.  We used an Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to draw in the eyes and snout.

We used a sponge and Crumb Cake ink to gently add some colour around the hedgehog to 'ground' him and to create 'soil' for the ferns.

We then stamped an assortment of leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink.  Make sure you stamp them low/high enough so they show around the Early Espresso panels and the top and the bottom.

We then adhered two panels of Early Espresso card.  The one at the bottom has been adhered with Tombow.  Before adhering we stamped and fussy cut a fern and adhered to the back of the panel.  We placed a single dimensional at the top of the fern to add extra dimension.

For the top panel, three pieces of linen thread have been wrapped around and then the panel has been adhered with dimensionals.

We used three stamped and punched out leaves with a couple of acorns to add extra detail to the panels.  I can't believe this is the first time I have inked up these cute acorns.

Top Tip
Usually I leave a white border around an image when fussy cutting.  These acorns are so tiny they just did not look right.  So, I trimmed closely around the stamped image.  I then used a sponge and Crumb Cake ink around the edges to cover any white edges.

This lovely, versatile sentiment is from a new stamp set called Seasonal Wreath.

I love the dimension on this card, particularly on the top panel!

We also stamped a hedgehog on the inside of the card and the envelope.
