Tiny Keepsakes - quick & simple
Here are the details for our first project this week using the Tiny Keepsakes bundle. Gotta love a bundle and the 10% discount!
The Tiny Keepsakes bundles includes the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set and the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box.
Do you remember a die called Curvy Keepsake? I do and I was rather sad when it was discontinued (I kept mine). However, I am thrilled with the super cute brand new Mini Curvy Keepsake Box die that launched at the beginning of September. A little smaller than the original and as a single die, it only takes one pass through the Big Shot to cut out - yahoo!
The stamp set has two handy miniature background stamps and some really useful sentiments that fit perfectly on the die cut tags.
For those who have not come across a curvy keepsake before I have some tips on assembly.
I used thick White card and decided to use the other background stamp in the set in this example - I like them both and can't decide which I prefer!
I used two scraps of grid paper to mask off the sections I did not want to stamp on - much neater this way!
I chose to stamp on just two sides of the box but you can, of course, stamp all four if you wish.
I used a bone folder to gently encourage the sides to curve.
Once curved, I used the bone folder on the crease lines and assembled.
I created a little tag for my box too. The tag has been cut from thick whisper white and the sentiment stamped in Real Red ink. I cut two sprigs (yes, there are two dies included in the bundle) using Shaded Spruce card. The little sprigs have been attached to the reverse of the tag using Tombow.
I then added some berries in the form of three red jewels and tied to the handle of the box using linen thread.
I then got a bit carried away and made a few different versions! I loved this cute little curvy box - several of them will be making an appearance on a dining table in Godmanchester before the year is out!!
My final Coffee & Cards session this week is on Thursday afternoon - you can find the details HERE, don't forget to let me know you are coming so I can prepare a kit for you!
