First Frost - Hopping Around The World!

Hello and welcome to another Hopping Around The World Blog hop organised by Claudia Christensen.  On this hop you will travel from the UK, to Europe, America and beyond!  If you are starting here with me or have joined me from Maï Chapelain in France, welcome - grab a cuppa and hop along with us for lots of inspiration!

This month we have been asked to choose our favourite stamp set.  As a Libran, decisions are not easy for me however, in this instance it was an easy choice - I chose First Frost.

I have used First Frost a lot and have it on my desk at the moment as I have been working on some Save The Date cards for a lovely lady called Tina.

Here are the colours I used for my project, chosen by Tina.

Such a lovely colour combo and giving a little hint of the wedding invitations that will follow in 2020!

A simple corrugated embossed panel in Night of Navy has been adhered across the front of a notecard using Tombow.

I used Night of Navy ink to stamp a large leaf stem and stamped the lovely larger flower in Seaside Spray ink.  Both pieces have been cut out with the coordinating dies.  The leaf stem has been sipped in half.  I used Seaside Spray card and another die to cut out a little dotty sprig.

I adhered the pieces to the corrugated panel using Tombow for the stems and a dimensional for the flower.

I used my computer to print out 'Save the Date' and cut out with a Stitched Rectangle die.

A tiny bow tied from a piece of linen thread has been adhered with a glue dot to the flower as a finishing touch.

Here is the finished card with the stack of envelopes which have the pretty dotty sprig stamped in Night of Navy.

I packed the cards into a little bag and made a pretty tag that hints and the Wedding Invites to come! #lovemyjob!

Tina was very pleased with her cards and will be handing them out to family and friends this weekend.

Next up is Maureen from the USA - I can't wait to see which stamp set she has chosen as her favourite.

If you get lost along the way you can find a list of hop participant below.

Happy hopping!
