Craftyduckydoodah! Review of 2019 - Part 4
Hello and welcome to part four of my review of 2019!
October saw me getting inky again! Creating backgrounds and then die cutting leaves for another Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
My finished project turned into a gift for a crafty friend' sometimes we all need to just breath, relax and recharge don't we?
October also saw my first ever Stamp A Stack that took place in St Ives.
The event was very popular, so much so that one crafty lady asked me to run it again as she needed to make another 20 cards! We used one of my favourite suites from the Autumn/Winter catalogue called Feels Like Frost.
This was just one of the projects we made although I changed the it a little stamping the sentiment in Night of Navy ink - it looked much better but I forgot to photograph it!
November
Another first for me; Pinnies Cafe in Godmanchester agreed to open in the evening especially so that I could hold a workshop there. Our first (yes there were more with others to come), was to create our own Advent Calendars.
It was certainly a fun filled evening with lots of tasty treats too created especially for us by the lovely Ricca. We were joined by a very crafty young man called Henry as well as some new crafters.
Remember the leaves I created above? Well one of my crafty ladies persuaded me to come up with a project for a workshop. Here are Karen and Val with their creations. I'm pleased to say they did not leave with too much ink on their fingers!
Following my very successful wreath in a shadow box frame workshops from 2018 once again I let my crafty ladies persuade me to offer an updated workshop for 2019!
Several ladies choose to join me again to make this fun project and we were also joined by some new ladies.
Looking back, November was a very busy month for Workshops!
My favourite Coffee & Cards project this month was definitely this one. The ceramic hanging decorations proved to be a big hit.
December got off to a cracking start with a Festive Afternoon Tea at the Old Bridge Hotel.
We had a fabulous time chatting, eating and exchanging gifts - we will be doing this again in 2020!
My final workshop of 2019 took place at Pinnies where we created some final projects for Christmas. The mince pies and the gin (not to mention the crafting) made for a fun evening which was definitely enhanced by Karen's seasonal headband!
Our final Coffee & Cards project saw us creating cards for the men in our lives using the aptly named stamp set called A Good Man!
The easel card was something I had not made for a while and a few of my crafty ladies had never made one! We will making different styles of cards in 2020 starting with a shaker card that was a special request from Val and Lesley using brand new products from the Spring/Summer brochure.
Looking back over 2019 brought back lots of crafty memories, thanks to everyone who has crafted and/or shopped with me in 2019 joined my team or attended an event, I will be back in a day or so with my updates for January - as ever, there is a lot happening in the world of Stampin' Up! (I have been busy planning future events and making a few changes too).
Don't forget to leave a comment on my facebook page telling which has been your favourite project of 2019 for a chance to win a little gift from me. If you can share a photo, even better!
Well, that's it for another year. I am looking forward to seeing what 2020 has to offer, so many new products, ideas and inspiration to come!
Happy New Year, hope its a good one!
