Botanical Prints - quick & simple

Here are the details for my first project this week using items from the Botanical Prints Product Medley.

Here are the colours I used for my project.

I used colours that were in the piece of DSP I used.  These colours are right up my street - I really do think that Pretty Peacock is my favourite colour!

Here is the project I made.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Botanical Prints Medley, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Spring / Summer 2020, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

To create the Botanical Prints quick & simple project
21 cm x 14.5 cm scored at 10.5 cm Pretty Peacock
10 cm x 14 cm Smoky Slate
9.5 cm x 13.5 cm DSP
10 cm x 14 cm ww - for the inside
Pretty Peacock and thick ww pieces for the die cut elements

To create the die cut elements
I used the Painted Labels Dies to cut out two labels one  from Pretty Peacock and the other from thick ww.  The sentiment has been stamped on the ww one with Smoky Slate ink.

The berry sprig has also been stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with the coordinating die.  I used Stampin' Blends to colour the berries.

I used the light Pretty Peacock pen around the outer part of the berry and then went over the whole thing with the Balmy Blue light pen.  This created a sort of blurry look that I quite like.

To assemble the card
Adhere the DSP to the Smoky Slate card and then adhere to the card base with dimensionals.

The Pretty Peacock label has been adhered with Tombow and the white label with dimensionals.

The decorative elements have been adhered with a combination of diemenstionals and Tombow.

You may remember the little metallic bees that are included in this Product Medley - I was going to use one, I really was but it was the wrong colour for this project.  So I stamped one using Smoky Slate ink instead using the small bee that can be found in the Honey Bee bundle.

I also decorated the inside of the card and the flap of the envelope with an assortment of these lovely images stamped in Smoky Slate.
