Beautiful Moments quick & simple
Here are the details for the first project this week featuring a stamp set called Beautiful Moments.
Tina Gillespie presented the idea for this project at OnStage in Sydney in 2019.
I love this image - does it remind anyone else of an old advert for Cadbury's Flake or, is it just me?
Here is my CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) of Tina's project.
To create the Beautiful Moments card
I used the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Large Cards and Envelopes for my project. The white foiled frames add pretty detail and make card making quick and simple.
I also added a thick Very Vanilla insert measuring 9.2 cm x 14.7 cm. I find that if I don't add any card layers to the front of these cards they are a little flimsy for my liking. The vv layer serves to write a message on and also to strengthen the card base.
Stamp and colour the card front
I used Soft Suede ink to stamp this lovely image. I coloured the images with a Stampin' Chalk Marker pen.
I used flicking motions to add colour to the dress. Flicking upwards from the waist and then down the length of the dress. I added tiny dabs of white chalk to colour the flowers.
The kraft background to the image meant I didn't have to colour her arms or her hair which saved a little time.
I used this lovely sentiment from the Parisian Beauty stamp set. It seemed just perfect for this lovely whimsical image.
Top Tip
Shake the chalk pen before using - obviously keep the lid on!
I stamped on the insert too using Soft Suede ink.
Here is the completed card and envelope. I stamped some flowers on the envelope and added a little colour with the chalk marker.
Looking at the photo above, I am wondering why on earth I did not add any of the tiny butterfly images - I will revisit the project and add some I think.
I will be back later this week with another project using the Beautiful Moments stamp set using the same image with a very different colouring technique.
Stay safe and well, hope you are managing to find some craft time!
Susan xx

You can see above these these cards and envelopes come with a pretty envelope liner. I chose not to use one for this project so I could use it on another project!

So pretty and understated. Proves that less is more.
