Ornate Thanks - Joy Of Sets Tic Tac To #JOSTTT016

Hello, it's time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge with Joy Of Sets!

We have a brilliant grid for you this month chosen by Sandra Mastello.

I decided to use Flowers, Ribbon, and Texture for my project.

I had a delivery recently from Mr Brown - he brought lots of lovely new goodies!

Stampin' Up! have released the Ornate Garden Suite ahead of the Annual Catalogue launch - how exciting is that?

I couldn't wait to play with my new goodies.  I confess my project was going to be completely different from the one shown below.  I started out with an idea to use the colours shown in the DSP hence my using Terracotta Tile for my project; it's not a colour I have used much at all but then, things went a little off piste!

Here is my project, I'm making lots of thank you cards at the moment.

To create the Ornate Thanks card
21 cm x 14.5 cm scored at 15.5 cm ww thick
10 cm x 14 cm Terracotta Tile card
10 cm wide piece of thick ww for the floral border and the sentiments.
15 cm wide strips of Terracotta Tile card for the inside and the envelope.

I used the Ornate Floral 3d Embossing folder with the piece of Terracotta Tile card.  The tiny daisies are so pretty and would look fabulous in any colour of card.

Adhere to the card front with Tombow.

To create the die cut elements
If you have ever read any of my posts or crafted with me, you will know that I love, love, love stitched edge shapes.

I was delighted to discover that there was a large, long rectangle in the Ornate Layers die set!

I cut one out from thick ww card and then stamped the sentiment with Terracotta Tile ink.

I used one of the fabulous border dies with another strip of thick ww card to create a floral border.

To assemble the Ornate Thanks card
I adhered the die cut border behind the sentiment with Tombow and carefully trimmed the edges.  I wrapped some pretty Terracotta Tile ribbon around the panel adhering on the reverse with double side tape.

The sentiment panel was adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals.  I stamped 'ever so much' with Terracotta Tile ink onto a small piece of thick ww and adhered with mini dimensionals.  The ribbon in this suite makes bow tying easy - I adhered this one with a mini glue dot.

I used a strip of Terracotta Tile card to cut out this pretty border.  I adhered it to the inside of the card with Tombow.

Here is the completed card.  I also added a die cut border to the side of the envelope but forgot to take a photo in my rush to get to the Post Box.

This project would look fabulous in any colour and will also work as a landscape card too.  The dies in Ornate Garden are so pretty and very easy to use.  So many ideas, so little time!

I have a board on Pinterest with 49 fabulous projects made with this suite!  You can find my board HERE.
