Ducklings Team Challenge!

Hello, you may remember that I took part in a Kre8tors Blog Hop earlier this month where the challenge was a colour challenge.  It was a tricky one!  Whilst chatting with one of my team members I decided to set them the same challenge - I'm good like that!
This was my interpretation of the challenge.  I used glycerin to create the background; you can find a tutorial on my earlier post from the 12th July.

Craftyduckydoodah, Birds & Branches, Stampin' Up, Ducklings Team Challenge July 2020,

I managed to create a project using all the colours but as long as some of the challenge colours were used on a project that was fine.

I was delighted to see lots of entries again this month and they are all very different interpretations of the challenge.  So here they all are, in no particular order.

Bev made three projects and they are all very different!

I like this one, after all who doesn't like cake!

I really like this one - a clever layout that looks great.

I know Bev struggled with this one, she had an idea in her head trying to get out.  She even walked away and left it for a while but got there in the end.

Next up is Maggie.  How pretty do these bottle tags look. The vellum behind the die cut poppy looks amazing.

Maggie also entered two stunning cards using two of my favourite stamp sets.  The ladies in these stamp sets are very pretty and can be used for many different occasions.

Last but by no means least this month are three entries from Liz.

A very pretty and useful little box.  I do like to make boxes, such a nice way to give a gift or a treat.

Liz's next project would definitely melt today!   Very clever use of the Stitched Shape dies to create an illuminated Christmas decoration.

A very sparkly project from Liz featuring lots of WoS on the letters showing a very creative way to use die cut pieces to create a background.

Lots of lovely projects and great interpretations of the colour challenge, thanks to all team members who entered. Very difficult to choose a winner but after last month when everyone won, I promised I would make a decision this month!

So, the winner is Maggie for this lovely project.  The background is very soft and pretty and is a clever interpretation of the colours for the challenge.  I might even CASE your card Maggie, it would look lovely in a frame too.

The prize this month is the very aptly named Summer Days stamp set which is a special stamp set found at the very back of the Annual Catalogue.  This lovely stamp set can only be purchased with a £150 plus order.  Orders of £150+ earn you Stampin' Rewards - which allow you to choose additional free items as a thank you from Stampin' Up!  If you can't manage such a large order why not get together with a group of friends and pool your orders?

I have decided that as I find decisions so difficult that next month Maggie will be choosing the winner of our next team challenge!

I hope you enjoyed seeing the very creative projects produced by some of my team, if you would like to join us next month please get in touch.

Have a crafty weekend.

  1. Congratulations to Maggie, it's a beautiful design. Maybe you can give me some tips to create that kind of sky.
