Craftyduckydoodah! August Updates
Hello and welcome to August! Boy has it been hot - no rain here now for several months and we have the strong possibility of a hosepipe ban very soon. We have been lucky to have been away a few times recently, most noticeably to see England win their football game in the semi-finals. We were thrilled that they went on to win the tournament! If you want something done, leave it to the women!!
As usual, there is a lot happening in the world of Stampin' Up! so here is all the information you need in one place.
This fabulous promotion stays with us until the end of August.
What does Sale-A-Bration mean for you as a customer?
There are three ways that you can benefit from this promotion.
- Choose a free gift from a selection of items when you spend £45 or £90
- Receive an additional free stamp set when you either place a large order yourself or collect orders from friends and family totaling £275+
- When you order a starter kit you can choose £130 worth of your choice of products and pay just £99 (free delivery too). You will also get an amazing planner, a stamp set and three notebooks worth £42!
Workshop - Nature's Prints
Saturday 13th August, 2pm - 4pm.
This workshop will take place at my home in Godmanchester and costs £24. The workshop includes a Fern 3D Embossing Folder (£8.50). Light refreshments offered - I am a whizz at frothy coffees!
We will be making two cards and a coordinating gift box. I have been using the Nature's Prints bundle a lot recently - it is so versatile.
Details of all upcoming events can be found on my facebook page HERE. Regrettably, full payment in advance is the only way to secure your place as I have been let down in the past.
You will need to bring a basic tool kit and your preferred adhesives with you too. A limited supply of adhesives will be available to purchase if you run out or forget!
Coffee & Cards
These fun craft sessions are proving very popular. With different projects every week there is something for everyone - perhaps a fun fold, a technique or a 3d item. Projects are made from scratch and I don't usually share projects on my blog. Sessions are suitable for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
The majority of the ladies who attend have asked for the session to be held on Tuesday mornings 10:30 - 12:30 so, from next week this is when the sessions will be held.
Details of a lovely new venue on Thursday afternoons will be announced soon so watch this space!
Our project this week was a Pinwheel card. They are easy to make but they do look rather impressive.
The ladies went home with lots of plans to create more of these cards. I decided to set a little challenge for them. All they have to do is make another Pinwheel card and share it on my facebook page on Sunday. I will ask someone to choose a winner who will then be able to take a pick from my lucky dip bag. All team members are also welcome to join in too. Don't forget to look at my facebook page on Sunday to see all their creations.
Well, I think that is it for now. I have been so busy the last two months that I have not had much time to blog - hopefully August will be better!
I am planning a charity craft event in aid of Ukraine later this month, if you are local to me I would love you to pop by and say hello. Further details to follow.
If you need any advice before placing an order or you have any crafty questions, please get in touch - I'm always happy to help. You can email me susan_merrey@yahoo.co.uk or telephone 07905 403 823 during normal working hours, if I can't get to the phone, please leave a message.
Happy crafting and, fingers crossed for some rain soon!
Susan xx
