Craftyduckydoodah! November Updates

Hello and welcome to November!  October was such a busy month for me and it is looking like November will be busy too!  After several months of planning, I am delighted to be starting a craft session each week in the run up to Christmas at a local housing scheme.  The weather has certainly turned and the leaves along the river where I live are looking fabulous - I have had several very good swishes (so far) too!

I was delighted to welcome seven new team members to team Ducklings last month.  The joining offer during October was just too good to resist. One of my favourites is the Three Colour Glimmer 12 x 12 Speciality Paper.  Add a little (or a lot) or sparkle to your projects with this lovely paper.  The papers come in three colours; Petal Pink, Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock (my favourite of course)!

There are also some stunning Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Butterflies available in a brass finish too that could well be making an appearance at a C & C session soon!

November Workshops

Rustic Christmas Advent Countdown Kit

Friday 10th November 7pm, Godmanchester

Cost: £25 - includes the Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit, tuition and light refreshments.

This is a repeat of a class l ran in October.  Several regular crafters were unable to make the date so, Lucky me gets to have all the fun again!  We will be assembling this fabulous kit to the sound of Christmas Music, the mine pies will be warming in the oven and there will be a fun quiz along with lots of chances of a dip from the ducky dip bag.  One lucky crafter will go home with a special prize too!

Above are my first four pockets.  The ladies at the class last month decided that the Poinsettia pocket needed a little something extra so there will be sprig punches and cardstock available if you wish to use them.  The pockets are the perfect size for a small gift, chocolate coins or perhaps an IOU to cook a favourite meal etc.  What would you put in yours?

Home Décor Piece Workshop

Friday 24th November 7pm, Godmanchester

Cost:20 - includes tuition, all materials, light refreshments and  a RIBBA Frame in either black or white.

This lovely project was created by Brenda Nelson who is a Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team member.  I have been asked if we could create something similar that could be used a a gift or a keepsake.

We will be creating a version of this that will fit inside a shadow box frame and there will be lots of opportunity to go 'off piste'.  All you need to do is bring a suitable photograph and let me know which colour frame you would like!

Coffee & Cards

Sessions continue to be popular, booking in advance is always advisable.  Last month we made a cube card, a OSW (One Sheet Wonder) project with the cutest little gift box and a Triple Cascade Card.  Here are a few peaks of our projects.

For all classes and workshops please bring basic craft tools with you (bone folder, scissors, paper trimmer etc) if you have them.  Don't worry if you don't, I have spares you can use.  Please also bring your preferred adhesives.  I have limited supplies available on the day if you run out or forget!

Well, that is it from me - the sun is shining this morning so I may just go for a swish amongst the leaves by the river!
