Craftyduckydoodah! March Updates

Hello and welcome to March - how did this happen?  This year is already flying by!  I don't know about you but I am certainly enjoying the lighter evenings here in the UK and the arrival of my favourite Spring flowers!  Sale-A-Bration (SAB) has ended for another year.  Did you manage to get all the free items you wanted?  Wasn't there a great selection to choose from this year?  I think my favourite items were the Jungle Pals stamps and coordinating dies.

As ever, there is a lot happening in the world of SU so, here are all the details you need in one place.

New Online Exclusives

Stampin' Up! launch twenty new products on Thursday!  You won't find these products in any catalogue. you can see them in my online store HERE.

The A Little Latte Suite is right up my street - I just love all things coffee!!  This lovely suite could well be making an appearance very soon for a Coffee& Cards session ;)

Another new suite that has caught my eye - the bold and vibrant colours are very appealing, is the Flowering Zinnias suite.  I may have to succumb to temptation with this one ...

New Kits

Launched mid February, the Happy House Plants kit is proving very popular indeed!

This kit comes with four 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) frames and pre-cut paper pieces for you to curl and assemble inside the frame. You’ll end up with four coordinated houseplant décor pieces. They can stand by themselves, or you can hang them on your wall.

Kit includes:

• Pre-designed projects
• Step-by-step instructions
• Pre-cut pieces (No prep work! Get right to crafting)
• 4 frames
• Frame size: 7-1/8" x 7-1/8" x 7/16" (18.1 x 18.1 x 1.1 cm)
• Enough adhesive to complete projects
• A 7-3/4" x 7-1/2" x 3" (19.7 x 19 x 7.6 cm) printed designer box for storage or crafting on the go

Product colours: Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Pecan Pie

When assembled, you will have four fabulous frames to either keep yourself or give as gifts (if you can bear to part with them).

Retiring In-Colours

The 2022 - 2024 In-Colours will be retiring soon to make way for another five fresh, new colours.

I have loved using these colours for the last two years; particularly Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.  I'll be sad to see them go but excited to see the new colours too.

Have you got re-inkers for your ink pads?  Have you got card, ribbons etc in your favourite colours?  If not, may I suggest that you order asap - once these items are gone they are gone for good.  Every year I have team members/customers contact me asking if I can get hold of certain items - sadly, I can't.  Don't be the person who is disappointed this year!

Coffee & Cards

The newly introduced rolling deposit system is working well, thank you to all the lovely ladies who craft with me each week for their understanding.

February was a busy month and saw us making lots of great projects including this fabulous flip card using the Bee Mine suite.

Coffee & Cards sessions continue to be very popular.  If you are unable to attend the regular morning session drop me a message as I may be able to offer either an afternoon or evening session for you. 

March Workshop - Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks 

Saturday 23rd March 2 - 4:30pm at Craftyducky HQ in Godmanchester

Cost £32 and includes a full set of Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks (£10), all materials, use of equipment and light refreshments.

Join me for a fun and relaxed craft session using these fabulous masks.  This is a technique workshop - we will be creating lots of sample pieces.  Time permitting, we will also create a simple card and envelope.  You will take home your masks and several finished card front ideas to use at home.

For all classes and workshops please bring basic craft tools with you (bone folder, scissors, paper trimmer etc) if you have them and your preferred adhesives - I have limited supplies available for sale on the day if you forget or run out. Classes take place at my home in Godmanchester unless otherwise stated.

Full payment is the only way to guarantee your place as regretfully, I have been let down in the past saving places for people who have not attended.

Sorry, no refunds unless I cancel the event. If for any reason you are unable to attend, I will do my best to find someone else to take your place but can't guarantee to do so. If not, your workshop kit will be available for collection after the event (kit will include basic supplies but no stamped images as per SU rules).

Ducklings Team Event

I was delighted to host another event for my team of lovely ducklings.  Not everyone was able to join us but we had a fun evening.  Liz demonstrated a fancy fold project for us and we had a quiz based on the Mini Catalogue.  Raffle tickets were flying around and there was a goody bag full of SU goodies for the winner.

We used the fabulous Layered Florals Embossing Folder with lots of different techniques and we all got rather inky!  Everyone went home with lots of card fronts to use on future projects.

Of course, we had cake and frothy coffees and everyone had a dip in the ducky dip bag too!

I have recently been going to lots of concerts, Rick Astley, Belinda Carlisle and 10CC - they were all brilliant.  My wait to see Simple Minds (my all time favourite band) is almost at an end - Friday 15th March will soon be here and I can't wait!
