Happy Scenes for Coffee & Cards
Hello, at my weekly Coffee & Cards session this week we will be making a Christmas card! Now the children are back at school, Christmas will be here before you know it - so I thought it best to get on with it (so to speak) in the hope that I might not be the one rushing around (as usual) at the last minute this year!!
I used Happy Scenes which is one of the lovely new stamps sets in the Autumn/Winter catalogue. This is another stamp set that comes as a bundle with the Hearth & Home Thinlets Dies - love bundles and of course you get a 15% saving too!
I confess that I have never used the Mossy Meadow cardstock before - why I don't know as it is such a lovely colour.
I really like how the window turned out with the happy scene in the background - I added some Dazzling Details to highlight the snow - after all, you can't have a Christmas card without some glitter on it can you?
As the card base is quite dark I added a stamped insert:
After I had finished the card I thought it needed a little something so I dug out my Stampin Chalk Marker (another product I hadn't used yet - shame on me) to add some faux stitching. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to stick the 'merry' to the front - so impressed with this item, no mess/splodges, and more importantly it stuck really well! Here is the finished card:
I have four ladies booked for one of the sessions tomorrow but if you would like to join us please message me for further details.
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below, thanks for looking at my Blog.
