Stampin' Up! - Honeycomb Happiness

Hello, I hope wherever you are in the world that you are not surrounded by flooded fields and roads like I am at the moment. After a very foggy and icy start this morning the weather is now gorgeously bright and sunny in Cambridgeshire, blossom on the trees and the birds are singing so all is well!

For today's card the sunshine and the spring flowers I can see from my craft room were a definite source of inspiration for me this morning and explain why I reached for Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist and the cute little chick that is in the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set.  This set is only available until 31st March, but the good news is that you can get it for FREE as part of Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order of £45.

Initially I punched out the balloons and stuck them on my card but I thought they needed something else so (after removing them carefully), I over stamped in the same ink as the cardstock using some stamps from Balloon Celebration.  I was still not quite happy and then I had a light bulb moment!!

Wink of Stella!!!  One of my coffee & cards ladies loves bling soooo much (you know who you are Louise) that I have started taking these gorgeous sparkly pens with me every week so that she can get her sparkle fix!  It is notoriously difficult to photograph sparkle, it looks much better in real life!

For the chick I decided to keep it simple and do some paper piecing - not done this for ages!  There is a strong possibility that my next Adult & Child workshop will be doing something similar - watch this space!
