Stampin' Up! - Made With Love
Hello, I made this card this afternoon for my very good friend Wendy whose daughter Clare recently had a little boy (brother to the gorgeous Harry).
Isn't he cute? Doesn't he look peaceful - I hope it lasts! As yet, he has no name :( but at least I could make a card to welcome him to the World!
UPDATED 20.6.16 - he has a name!! Welcome to the world Charlie :)
Harry very kindly let me play with his Play Doh a few weeks ago and, if I am lucky, perhaps I will be allowed to have a cuddle with his new brother too next time he comes to visit his Nanny!
This is the colour scheme I decided to use:
I have to say that I am loving the new Dapper Denim In Colour - so many combinations to play with!
I decided to use a stamp set called Made With Love - one that has never been off my shelf until now ... but it was just what I needed for this occasion.
I added a bit of a splatter from Gorgeous Grunge (love it still) and I scuffed up the edges to add some texture. I still wasn't quite happy with it, so I added a layer of vellum behind my image panel for a bit of contrast.
Here is the completed card and envelope:
I stamped the envelope to match and also an insert with scuffed edges. I used the Washi Label punch for my sentiment (now retired) but you could leave the edges straight or 'flag' them.
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would love to be yours! If you don't have a catalogue and you would like one, please let me know and I will send one to you.
Details of the products I used to create this project can be found below. If you need to order any supplies, simply use my “shop with me” button or click on the catalogue links on the right. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place your order for you.
All orders over £20 (excluding postage) will receive a little thank you from me if you use the current Hostess Code: EQXJF2UJ (please remember to allow me to access your contact details otherwise I won't be able to contact you).
For orders over £150 please do not use the Hostess Code to ensure that you receive the benefits.
Wishing Clare, James and Harry lots of love and happiness to you and your new baby!
