Stampin' Up - Team Challenge (take two)!

Hello, you may have seen my post recently about a team challenge I took part in (you can see how I put it together HERE:).

I spent a happy afternoon working away on my design, did a blog post and a facebook post and then, I went to add my design to the challenge folder on facebook.  I has this awful moment and knew I had done something a bit (well a lot) daft really!!  I had not looked at the full post and completely missed the point so to speak!  This is the layout that I should have followed for my entry:

Obviously my original creation is nothing like this but, I have to say I really like the colours and the design - it might even turn up for a Coffee & Card event very soon!

As usual, I left it until almost the very last minute - the deadline for the challenge was yesterday.  I managed to post my design around 9pm yesterday evening - talk about cutting it fine!

I would like to thank Michelle who is a Demo friend in Germany for her idea of using DSP for the large rectangle.  Although I did not have anything in the colour I wanted to use, she sparked the idea to create my own using the leaf stamp from Kinda Eclectic!

I primarily chose ink colours from my favourite collection (Subltes) and added accents using two of the new In Colours for the flower and the butterfly.

Here is my finished card - I have to say that I am not completely enamoured with it to be honest.  I think I might revisit it at some point and rework it slightly but I did enjoy the challenge of working to a set layout.
