Stampin' Up! - Butterfly Basics (for Coffee & Cards)
Hello, this is the card we will be making this week for Coffee & Cards; it is another special request from a lovely lady who wanted some ideas on how to use the Brick Wall TIEF.
I kept things quite simple this week as the lady in question will be using the design to craft next week with a group of her friends. I have not used Butterfly Basics for ages and had forgotten just what a stunning set it is.
I went with a simple colour palette of Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. The extra shade of green was achieved using a simple second generation stamping technique.
The one thing that you do have to remember with this particular technique is to stamp the fern leaves BEFORE you emboss the cardstock.
The addition of a simple tag with this lovely sentiment and a few punched out butterflies finish off this card very quickly.
I thought I would try something different with the tag - I tied several knots on top of each other but I can't decide whether or not I like it! What do you think - I would love you to leave a comment below ...
The inside of the card and the envelope have been stamped to match too:
I also wanted to show lots of other ways to use this TIEF to take things up a level so a crafty afternoon in store for me, yippee!!
If you would like to join me for a relaxed crafting session whilst enjoying a drink and perhaps a bite to eat it would be lovely to meet you. I have had to cancel my regular Monday session as I have no voice at the moment (Friday's frame workshop was interesting, hopefully a quite day will restore it)! I can be found at the following location next week.
