Stampin' Up! - Jar of Love

Hello, the card I am sharing with you today was actually the first time I inked up this set and it provided the inspiration for my first one to one workshop last week (you can see it here).

One of the things I love (and there are many) about stamping is the variations of colour you can get from just one ink pad - in this case the Dapper Denim and Calypso Coral inks that I used for my flowers.

I believe the technique is called second generation stamping; you stamp the image onto scrap paper and then on your card for a paler result.  In some case, depending on the colour, you can get several usable impressions this way.

I stamped the jar onto some vellum - in this instance I used Dapper Denim ink.

For my one to one workshop I used Smoky Slate ink.  The problem is I can't decide which looks more appropriate/better.  I would love you to leave a comment below to let me know which you prefer ..

I did a little light stamping on the inside of the card too, I knew I would need plenty of room on this particular card as it was destined to be a birthday card for my good friend Kath and I had lots to tell her!
