Stampin' Up! Birthday Fiesta
Hello, I had a phone late one Friday evening recenlty from my daughter Rosie. You know the calls that start with that fatal word 'Mummmm' and you just know that something is wanted? Well, in this case it was a card - for a colleague of my daughter whose husband was having a birthday party.
Rose has a bit of a thing for llama's, I even managed to put one on her Christmas card! So early on Saturday morning I reached for Birthday Fiesta and the Fiesta Time Framelits.
After a quick look at the back of the Festive Birthday DSP to check what colours were used for the papers I got out some Tempting Turquoise card stock and got to work.
The colours on this DSP are amazing - so bright and cheerful, I love them!
I stamped a quick sentiment and then used the fabulous Stitched Shape Framelits which are now back in stock and available to order - wahoo!
I used some Pumpkin Pie cardstock to cut out some streamers and stuck then across the top of the card. I think this is the first time I have used this colour!
I added a strip fo DSP across the bottom of the card to give the cacti something to stand on and then popped an extra die cut llama behind one cactus.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I'm pleased to report that Rosie loved the card and so did the recipient!
