Stampin' Up! Petal Palette - quick & simple
Hello, here are the details of our first project this week using a bundle called Petal Palette.
I was asked if we could use this gorgeous bundle once again for Coffee & Cards and I was more than happy to oblige as I have so many ideas floating around my head - the images in this set are lovely and the fact there is a matching set of Thinlits is just brilliant - no fiddly cutting out!
I used one of my favourite colours, Pool Party for my samples but I also brought card and ink in Daffodil Delight and Powder Pink to give everyone a choice.
My crafty ladies came up with several variations this morning. Lesley did her second project in pink which even I liked (not into pink) and the multicoloured birds were absolutely stunning!
Whilst working on the samples for this project I suffered a bout of my usual indecision - a blue bird or a brown bird?
I posed the question on Facebook - the answer was a rounding one in favour of the blue bird!
The two die cut green springs behind the bird add a little dimension to this quick and simple project. I used one of the retired black jewels as an accent for the eye but you could use a clear jewel and either colour it with a Black Sharpie Pen or leave clear.
The dotty border stamp looked smashing stamped on the envelope and the inside of the card.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
There are 15 stamps in this set; a lovely mix of artistic images and sentiments. If you purchase the stamps with the Thinlits as a bundle you save 10% and, during Sale-a-Bration you will also be able to choose a free item!!
I have two further C & C sessions available this week, if you would like to join me to make this project (and another one) you can find the details here.
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below. Thanks for visiting my Blog, come back soon so you don't miss anything.
Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon!
