Stampin' Up! Sunshine & Rainbows - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the final project for C & C this week using a bundle called Sunshine & Rainbows.  Little did I know when I came up with projects for this week that we would have snow - thanks to everyone who joined me today despite freezing temperatures!

We assembled our rainbows in the same way we did for our quick & simple project this week (on the reverse) and then arranged the clouds and the sunshine on the front of the card using a combination of Dimensionals and Tombow Glue to create a 3d look.

We used a simple masking technique for the inside of the card and the envelope.

We created a mask using a post it note and the cloud die.

Top Tip

Make sure you place the die over the sticky part of the post it note!

After stamping the cloud, place the post it note on top taking care to match up the mask to the cloud accurately.

The top photo shows how it should look and, if you look closely at the bottom image you will see that there is some white space between the cloud and the sun ...

Here is the completed card and envelope.

My crafty ladies really enjoyed this simple masking technique - it is something you can use with lots of images.

Next week for Coffee & Cards we will be using a stamp set called Butterfly Basics to make two projects.  There will be lots of inking and scuffing of edges at the request of Lesley who wanted to try a shabby/vintage style of card for a change!  I will post details shortly.

The weather in Cambridgeshire is supposed to be very cold this weekend so, I will stay in my craft room I think!

Hope you have a crafty weekend too.
