Ducklings Team Event!

Hello, I've finally managed to get around to sorting out some photos of the ducklings team event that took place last weekend. 

We met up at Bests Coffee Shop for a day of crafting, chatting and a little Stampin' Up! news.  

Of course I needed a project for us to work on; I saw something a few weeks ago made by the fabulous Pootles that was perfect for us!  (There is a link to the tutorial at the end of this post).

Lots of last minute prepping for me; the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and my Stampin' Trimmer were invaluable preparing all those boxes.  

I made these little table gifts for everyone as I was still feeling tropical after last weeks C & C projects - the flamingo was as close to a craftyducky as I could get!

All set up and ready to go - the project was kept a secret from my crafty ducklings!

Before long the table was a crafty mess...

This is what we made - 5 little boxes decorated with DSP.

The boxes fit inside a little tray to make a desk tidy that is surprisingly sturdy.

Roll forwards a couple of hours, lots of chatter, coffee, cake and a delicious lunch and here we are with our finished projects.

We all choose different colours and papers- mine is on my desk proving very useful.  This project is a great way of using up that DSP that we all hoard - I even managed to use some retired papers from last year.
