Stampin' Up! Review of 2018 - part I

Hello, as 2018 draws to an end I thought I would take another opportunity to look back through my Blog posts for the last 12 months.  Originally I intended to do just one post but in true Craftyducky style, more is best!

January
An exciting new product was launched in January - Brusho Crystal Colour.

I have used mine a lot and I know several of my crafty ladies have these too.  My favourite technique with the crystals is to sprinkle them on to water washed paper and watch the colours burst.

January also saw me try my hand at brush lettering.  This lovely rainbow was accented with a unicorn from a stamp set called Magical Day which has now sadly retired.

Petal Palette is a lovely stamp and framelit bundle that we have used a lot for Coffee & Cards; this one has been coloured with the Stampin' Blends - it is also a real favourite with ladies at Field Lodge!

February
This month we used items from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue; a stamp set called Amazing You.  Every year Stampin' Up! offer free items with every £45/£90 spend - who doesn't love freebies!  It will soon be time for Sale-A-Bration 2019 ...

The most popular Coffee & Cards projects for February were made using a bundle called Cake Soiree.  You can see my original post HERE.  This lovely TIEF is a firm favourite of mine as it is very versatile and looks amazing whichever side you use!

March
I was joined by two lovely ladies for a special workshop this month just in time for Mother's Day.  We used the Daisy Delight stamp and punch which is a real favourite of mine as it is just so useful to decorate a wreath and make special cards and home decor items.  I was so pleased to see this stamp set and the coordinating punch made it into the Annual Catalogue!

As Sale-A-Bration came to an end I took part in a special Blog hop using a lovely stamp set called Lots of Lavender to create this simple but striking project.  You can find details of the post HERE.

March was also the month I hopped again with Stampers by the Dozen to share our favourite background techniques.  Mine was a water colour 'smoosh' technique - simple and very effective but quite messy!   If you haven't tried this you should but be warned, each background looks different!  You can see my original post HERE if you fancy having a go.

I can't believe the end of the year is fast approaching - I have my Christmas ham cooking in cloudy apple juice and friends coming round for dinner so, I'm off to set the table!

Come back soon for part 2 of my Review of 2018 later this week.

Happy Christmas!

Susan xx
