Stampers By The Dozen 02/19

Welcome to another Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop. If you are joining me from Judi (wasn't her project lovely), or you are starting here with me, welcome - I hope you enjoy our projects.

This month it was my turn to choose our theme - I chose 'CASE the catalogue'.  There are two definitions to 'CASE'.  One is to Copy And Share Everything and the other is to Copy And Selectively Edit.

At this time of the year it is easy to forget about the Annual Catalogue because there are so many lovely new and free items available in the Spring / Summer and Sale-A-Bration catalogues.  So, I decided to CASE something from the Annual Catalogue.

As a further challenge to myself I decided to use something that has been sat on a shelf in my craft room for ages (shame on me)!

If you look on page 34 of the Annual Catalogue you will see a stamp and framelit bundle called Treat Time.

These framelits are very, very clever and I had no idea just how clever they are until today!

The pieces at the top of the photo slot together like a jigsaw into the main part of the framelit.  You can choose which shaped top you would like - isn't this brilliant?  Also, the framelit embosses the 'pinch points' for each pouch too (this makes the pouch much easier to assemble)!

I decided to CASE the Lemon Lime Twist pouch.

I used Lemon Lime Twist card and stamped the flower image in the same colour ink randomly all over the die cut pouch.

I then die cut the scalloped edges and adhered them to the top sections with Tombow.  I used Tear & Tape to assemble the pouch.  Not too bad for my first attempt I think!

Top Tip
Use a bone folder to encourage the card to 'curl' into the correct shape before you adhere the edges.  This is essential when using card stock.

So, once I had CASEd my first pouch I decided to have some fun!

This time I used Designer Series Paper for the pouch.  It folds and creases much easier than card stock.

I used Pear Pizazz card as a contrast to the DSP for the scalloped accents.  I also used some die cuts to decorate the tag and added a tiny pearl to the centre of the flower.

Here are both treat pouches together.

I do like to make these little treat pouches and, now I have finally used the framelits they are much easier to make and I love that you have a choice for the top of the pouches.

I might have got a bit carried away making lots of these yesterday afternoon and, with so many different sentiments (there is a die to cut these out too), and endless colour combinations the possibilities are endless.

As I mentioned above, the stamp and framelits I used are available as a bundle which means that you save 10%.  Even better, during Sale-A-Bration if you place and order for £45 you can choose a free item.  So if you were to purchase this bundle for £43 and some adhesive perhaps you would qualify for a free item - love it!!

Details of the products I used for these projects can be found below.   Next up is Tricia - I can't wait to see what she choose to CASE!

Thanks for hopping along with us again!

Susan xx
