Colour Challenge for Stamp 'N Hop

Hello and welcome to the latest Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop.  If you are joining me from Sandra or starting here with me, welcome and thanks for hopping along with us!

This month we have a colour challenge; one that put me right outside my comfort zone as these are not colours I usually use!

The colours made me think of tropical climes so it seemed obvious to use a stamp set called tropical Chic and the coordinating Tropical Dies.

I've had an idea floating around in my crafty chaotic head for a while using the Hand Lettered Prose Dies to create an eclipse card so, I thought I would give it a go for this challenge!

I stamped a selection of leaves and flowers using Granny Apple Green and Lovely Lipstick ink and die cut them out.  I also cut a selection of leaves from Granny Apple Green card stock.

I used tiny dabs on Tombow along the spines of the die cut leaves and adhered to the stamped leaves - I like to add lots of dimension to my projects!

I had intended to mount my finished panel onto a Blueberry Bushel card base but at the last minute I reverted to my favourite white on white.

I adhered two of the leaves to my card base ...

I used the Hand Lettered Prose Dies to cut on the word 'hello' from a panel of thick Whisper White card that was cut 5mm smaller than the card base.  I stamped the 'bar code' image in two corners using Blueberry Bushel ink.

I adhered it to the card front using the Foam Adhesive Strips.

Two leaves were tucked into the lettering; I used a mini dimensional in the centre of each leaf for extra dimensions.

The 'silver' element of this challenge in the form of a silver metallic pearl was popped onto the centre of the flower.
