Beautiful Boughs - Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge #JOSTTT011
Hello and welcome to another Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge! We are a friendly group of stampers who take it in turns to design a challenge grid each month. Our grid this month has been chosen by Anne Marie Maclean.
I decided to use the top line for my project; CAS, Winter and Heat Emboss.
My project started with this stunning ribbon. How lovely is this? The Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon is sooo elegant and has such a pretty sheen.
The ribbon provided the inspiration for the colours I used.
I used my favourite Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a panel and another rectangle to use for my sentiment.
The sentiment is from a stamp set called Itty Bitty Christmas and has been heat embossed with copper embossing powder.
The larger rectangle has been adhered to the card blank (top opening), with dimensionals. I placed a single dimensional on the right of the sentiment and used Tombow on the left to adhere across the larger rectangle.
I used different die sets (see below for details) for the Winter part of the challenge and cut out lots of bits and pieces using Old Olive, Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray card stock.
Now for the part that always takes me ages - the arranging!
Step 1
I placed three pieces, one of each colour in a little bunch and adhered to the panel using Tombow. You can see that all three pieces are coming from the same point.
Step 2
I took another three die cuts, again, one of each colour and adhered from the same central point but in the opposite direction.
The bow I tied at the start of my project provided the perfect finishing touch for this Clean And Simple card.
Here is the completed card - I really like this colour combo and, looking at the photo below has given me an idea for something else. I might just add a workshop in December ......
Of course I always cut too many die cuts so, I used some on the inside of the card. Perhaps too many but, waste not want not!
