Snowman Season - Gift Card Holder #2
Here are the details for our final project this week using a stamp set called Snowman Season to create another gift card holder.
Inspiration for this project came from Kelly Acheson who a SU Demo from the USA. Such a clever idea for a gift card holder! You can see Kelly's project HERE, its a great tutorial!
For my project I did amend the measurements slightly to fit my preferred UK card size.
To create my version of this gift card holder you will need:
Card Base, Real Red measuring 29 cm x 10.5 cm, scored at 14.5 cm
Front, Coastal Cabana measuring 14 cm x 10 cm embossed with the Winter Knit 3D embossing folder. You will also need a 2 cm strip of DSP and a 1 cm strip of Real Red Glimmer Paper. (I added my DSP to the left of my card but it could also be placed on the right).
I used my favourite Stitched Shape dies and stamped this lovely snowman with Momento ink.
Some colour has been added to the snowman using Stampin' Blends. I used tiny dots of Fine-Tip glue with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the little snowballs and added three pretty enamel glitter as a finishing touch.
So here is the finished card front.
A great card in its own right but, this is not just a card it is a gift card holder too!
For the inside you will need:
Coastal Cabana card measuring 10 cm x 14 cm
Whisper White card measuring 9 cm x 13 cm
2 x Whisper White card measuring 13 cm x 5"
Score both pieces on the 5" side at 1 1/2", 2 1/4", 3 3/4" and 4 1/12"
Apologies for the mixed metric and imperial measurements - it seemed easier (to me at least), this way!
Follow the tutorial by Kelly to assemble the two boxes. I stamped on the front on one of them before scoring and assembling but you don't have to.
I also stamped a sentiment on the Whisper White panel. Here is the inside of the card.
This is what the gift card holder looks like from the side and, yes, it does fold 'flat' to fit inside an envelope!
Here is the gift card holder and the envelope which has snowflakes stamped in Coastal Cabana along the flap.
Thanks again to Kelly for the inspiration. My crafty ladies have loved making these gift card holders, we came up with several alternative ideas for this clever design too that could well be making an appearance in 2020! Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for some crafty fun. I will share details of the projects for next week over the weekend.
