Tidings All Around - hanging decoration

Here are the details for our final projects this week using the Tidings All Around bundle.  

Following on with the theme of our first project this week, I thought we would try something special for our last Christmas project for Coffee & Cards.

The project started with these ceramic decorations I found online that were the perfect size for my project.

We stamped a wreath using Mint Macaron ink and thick whisper white card.  This was cut out with the coordinating die and then adhered with Tombow.  

We then die cut two further wreaths from Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow card.

Both wreaths have been adhered to the decoration using mini dimensionals, slightly offsetting each layer.

The Mint Macaron layer has been sprinkled with lots of fake snow from my crafty stash, adhered with Tombow.

Several little sprigs cut from gold foil have been added in the centre of the wreath along with little berries that have been cut from Real Red Glimmer paper.  The berries have been adhered with mini dimensionals too.

I was undecided on what to finish the decoration off with; a leaping deer or the word 'merry'.

A quick post on facebook made up my mind but there are so many possibilities that would also look great.

Here is the completed decoration.  I swapped the ribbon for some Mint Macaron ribbon as a finishing touch.

So pretty although the image above looks a little bereft of snow, in real life it is there - the magic of photography!

I made a slightly different version on Thursday using Mossy Meadow for the top wreath.  I may have got a little carried away with the snow on this one!

These little decorations will look lovely around the house, perhaps hanging on a cupboard door or a sturdy Christmas tree - they are quite heavy.  They would also make a lovely addition to a plainly wrapped parcel used as a gift tag that would double as an extra gift don't you think?
