Field Of Flowers
Hello, I have a special card to share with you today; it's one I made for a friend who will be 50 today! Ever since my pre order arrived I have been wanting to use a stamp set called Field Of Flowers and, as I had an idea in my head for this project, it seemed the perfect opportunity to ink it up.
This lovely and versatile stamp set is available as a bundle with the coordinating Confetti Border Punch. Bundles are great value for money as they offer a 10% discount on individual prices. Best of all, the punch matches the tiny flowers stamps perfectly so no fiddly fussy cutting needed!
Here is my project.
You will need:
21 cm x 14.5 xm ww thick - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm ww thick
Small piece of Granny Apple Green
Strips of ww thick for punching
The colours I used:

The background:
Stamp the border image across the panel of thick ww using Granny Apple Green ink. I also added a dragonfly, stamped in Soft Suede. Die cut the number 50 - I used the Large Number dies which are sadly retired now. I'm sure that many of you have a set of number dies you could use or, perhaps alphabet dies to cut out a name? Adhere the stamped panel onto the card base using dimensionals.
The die cutting:
Using the scrap of Granny Apple Green, die cut the number 50 again. Adhere inside the number 50 on the card base using Tombow.
The punching:
I stamped lots of little flowers using Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo inks and the punched out. I certainly would not have the patience to fussy cut all these tiny flowers out would you?
To assemble:
I cut tiny pieces from the edging strip of the dimensionals and adhered the tiny flowers randomly along the stamped border.
The sentiment:
The person that will be receiving this card is a cricket fan - hence the sentiment! I used my computer to print it out and then the Classic Label punch on one end before adhering with dimensionals.
The finished project:
I stamped the same border and dragonfly on the envelope and the inside of the card.
In my mind, the field of flowers represents an overgrown and unused cricket pitch - thankfully, the recipient 'got' it!
I have lots of ideas for this pretty stamp and punch bundle; if only I had more time at the moment to craft!
Have a crafty weekend!
Stay safe and well,
Susan xx
