Ornate Thanks - quick & simple

Hello, I have another project to share with you today using the Ornate Thanks stamp set and the Ornate Borders Dies.  I have been using items from the Ornate Garden Suite a lot; so many ideas, so little time!

I seem to be making lots of thank you cards at the moment so this stamp set is perfect.  I love the border dies, they make it easy to create lacy and floral borders.  I also love a bundle and the 10% discount too!

The inspiration for this particular project came from a blog hop I joined in April.  Kirsteen designed a lovely project that was right up my street. Here is my project, with a couple of tweaks.

You will need:
21 cm x 14 cm Smoky Slate - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm ww thick
10 cm x 14 cm Smoky Slate
10 cm x 14 cm ww regular
Small pieces of ww thick and Daffodil Delight for die cutting

The background:
Position this lovely border die across the front of the thick ww panel and run through your die cutting machine.

To assemble the background panel:
Adhere both ww pieces shown above to the Smoky Slate panel with Tombow.  Make sure you correctly realign the pieces; you are in effect, putting them back together again!

Adhere a length of ribbon towards the bottom of the panel using double sided tape on the reverse.

The flowers:
Using scraps of ww and Daffodil Delight card, die cut a selection of different sized flowers.  Adhere two different sized flowers together with Tombow.

The sentiment:
A die cut a rectangle using my favourite Stitched dies, with a sentiment stamped in Memento ink.

To assemble:
Adhere the background panel to the card base with dimensionals.  Adhere the sentiment with more dimensionals. I adhered the flowers with Tombow.

The inside:
Using the piece of regular ww card, die cut the floral border towards the bottom of the panel.

Adhere to the inside with Tombow 'rejoining' the two pieces as above.

The details:
Adhere some Gilded Gems (I used different sizes) to the centre of each flower for a touch of bling.

I am already thinking of lots of variations of this project in lots of different colours.  If you would like to look at Kirsteen's project you can find it HERE.

I have another project to share later this week using the other stamp and die bundle from this lovely and very versatile Suite.

Stay safe and well,

Susan xx
