Snowflake Wishes - quick & simple
Here is my project:
I love projects with lots of white space so I like this card a lot; clean and simple with a bit of sparkle, quick and easy to make!
The colours I used:
You will need:
21 cm x 14.5 cm - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm w thick
ww thick and Seaside Spray for die cutting
The background:
I used the Winter Snow embossing folder on the thick ww panel. Adhere to the card base with dimensionals.
Ever since I discovered some time ago that the Metallic Mesh Ribbon could be stretched and rearranged I knew I wanted to put some behind a couple of snowflakes. I faffed for ages with a strip of Stampin' Seal to 'arrange' neatly. I managed in the end but then I realised that if I'd tied a knot in the middle of the ribbon before adhering it would have been much easier! The piece of Metallic Mesh I used was around 4" long but if you were to tie a knot, it would need to be a bit longer.
The sentiment:
I stamped this lovely sentiment using Night of Navy ink. I wanted to add some background colour to the sentiment to help it stand out from the embossed panel; unfortunately I had used the largest die in the set. Fortunately there is a sneaky way you can get round this!
Top tip #1
To assemble:
Top Tip #2
Rotate the snowflake stamp each time you stamp for a more natural, less regimented look.
The completed project:
This project would look great in other colours too and would make a lovely gift for someone unable to get out and about to purchase cards this year. I have another project to share with you later this week using Snowflake Wishes - I think this lovely bundle is a contender for my favourite Christmas stamp set for 2020!
Happy crafting.
