Peace & Joy - stepped up
Hello, here as promised, are the details of my project made with the Peace & Joy bundle with Misty Moonlight!
This project did not turn out at all how I imagined it would, sometimes I am so indecisive.
Here is my project:
The colours I used:
You will need:
21 cm x 14.5 cm Misty Moonlight - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm Misty Moonlight
10 cm x 14 cm ww (insert)
Piece of Silver Foil card, Misty Moonlight and ww thick for stamping/die cutting
The background:
I used Misty Moonlight ink and the two small starburst images to stamp on the 10 cm x 14 cm panel of card.
Off set the two images to form the image above. I then scuffed the edges of the panel.
The die cutting:
I used the Stitched Stars dies to cut a starry background piece from ww thick and a large star from silver foiled card. I also cut two additional starry backgrounds from Misty Moonlight card.
To assemble:
Take a length of this beautiful metallic mesh ribbon and pull it around a little to stretch and distort. Place a small piece of double sided tape on the front of the panel and attach the mesh ribbon. (Don't worry about it not being properly adhered as the other elements will hold it in place).
Attach the starry background die cut using Tombow - as above, no need to totally adhere.
Adhere the die cut star using dimensionals.
The sentiment:
I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink and thick ww card then cut out with the coordinating die. I also stamped 'ON EARTH' onto a scrap of card and trimmed to a rectangle. Adhere both pieces to the card using dimensionals.
The inside/envelope:
I scuffed the edges of the ww regular card panel and adhered with double sided tape. I used the two Misty Moonlight starry die cuts to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope, adhering with tiny dabs of Tombow.
The detail:
As a finishing touch I added some of my favourite blue adhesive gems to the centres of the stamped images.
The completed project:
I like how the net and the die cuts inter mingle for lots of texture and dimension. As for all the other pieces I cut and stamped whilst wresting this project from my crafty, they mind will be used (at some point), on something else!
Have a crafty weekend.
