Flowing Flowers - Stampers Showcase

Hello, and welcome to another Stampers Showcase Blog Hop.  I will be using a stamp set called Flowing Flowers for my project.

Craftyduckydoodah, Stampin' Up, Flowing Flowers, Stampers Showcase Blog Hop,

This month we are creating projects to show thanks and gratitude.  We all need thank you cards don't we?  I like to keep a stash ready and waiting for when I need them.

I love the Flowing Flowers stamp set - the sentiments are lovely and the images are 'distinktive' stamps which means that each image has a special texture giving added depth and dimension in a single step.

Sadly, Flowing Flowers will be retiring soon but at the time of writing this post it is still available!

Here is my project:

A dinky little 3" x 3" card.  Clean and simple with just a single colour.

The colours I used:

I decided to use Misty Moonlight - I will miss this colour when it retires.  You could of course make these little thank you cards in any colour you like.

You will need:

I usually use cm's for my projects but in this case inches were much easier!

6" x 3" Basic White Thick (BWT) - scored at 3"

The stamping:

Simply stamp two partial flowers along the bottom edge of the card using Misty Moonlight ink along with the sentiment.

The inside/envelope:

I used the smaller flower to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.

The details:

I used the dark Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blend to colour three rhinestones.

Top tip:
Colour the rhinestones on the backing sheet and allow them to 'dry' for a couple of minutes.  Much easier than trying to colour when they are already added to your project!

The completed project:

A lovely quick and easy project that could be used as a gift tag or a card.

Step it up:

I decided to make another version of my project.  You will need an additional piece of BWT measuring 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".

I used a different image from Flowing Flowers.  The stamped panel has been adhered with dimensionals and I decorated the envelope flap instead of the front.

Step it up again:

Sometimes it is easy to get carried away when crafting - so many options and versions are possible - it's why I love crafting so much!

For this project you will need a piece of Misty Moonlight card measuring 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".  I adhered this to the card using Tombow.  You will also need a piece of BWT measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".  After stamping, this panel has been adhered to the card with dimensionals.

This time I used the smaller image to stamp a border along the inside of the card and the envelope.

I could have carried on creating along this theme for some time.  Scuffed edges (love them) or using an embossing folder on the Misty Moonlight panel ....
