All For Baby

Hello, I have a very special card to share today using the All for baby bundle to create well, a new baby card!

Who would have thought that laundry could be so cute?  I love the little outfits you can create and the coat hangers and tiny pegs are, well, just lovely!

Imagine all the combinations you could create using different colours, stamping onto Designers Series Paper etc ... This set is a real keeper for me.  The bundle is sadly retiring on the 2nd May but at the time of writing this post it is still available!

Craftyduckydoodah, Stampin' Up!, All For Baby,

Here is my project:

This project started with a phone call from my daughter - you know the ones that start with 'Mum ... can you make me a card please'!

The colours I used:

You will need:

21 cm x 15.5 cm Basic White Thick (BWT) - scored at 10.5 cm

10 cm x 14 cm Polished Pink x 2

10 cm x 14 cm BWT

10 cm x 14 cm Basic White (BW)

Small pieces of BWT for stamping/die cutting

The background:

I used my favourite and sadly retiring embossing folder Tasteful Textile to emboss the Polished Pink card.  I then used the cloud shaped die from Basic Border Dies to cut away the top of the BWT panel to create some clouds.

I stamped a washing line with Smoky Slate ink and then added a little sky to the background with a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink.

The stamping/die cutting:

I had fun creating an assortment of little bits and pieces which have been cut out with the coordinating dies.

To assemble:

Adhere the Polished Pink embossed panel to the front of the card with Tombow.  The BWT panel has been adhered with diemensionals.

I then 'pegged' the various items onto the washing line using dimensionals and Tombow for the pegs and the coat hangers.

The inside/envelope:

I adhered the remaining Polished Pink panel to the inside of the card with Tombow.  I then stamped a sentiment and a teddy bear on the BW panel before adhering to the inside with Tombow.  I also stamped a bear on the front of the envelope.

The completed project:

This card is for Sophia May who was born on the 31st March and is a sister for the gorgeous Alfie who shares the same birthday as my son!

Craftyduckydoodah, Stampin' Up!, All For Baby,

Of course this post would not be complete without a photo would it?

Welcome to the world Sophia!
