Craftyduckydoodah! August Updates

Hello and welcome to August.  Not sure how but, we are now in August - where has this year gone?  The weather here in Cambridgeshire (UK) is certainly not very summery at the moment but, at least I am finding lots of time to craft to keep out of the rain!

There is so much happening in the world of SU at the moment, so here are all the details you need for the month.

Coffee & Cards Tuesday 10:30am - 12:30pm - Godmanchester

Sessions cost £10 and include all materials, tuition and light refreshments.  Classes are suitable for all level of crafters including absolute beginners!

Sessions continue to be popular and with different projects or techniques every week there is something for everyone.  I am also open to special requests, whether its a particular stamp set you would like to use, a fancy fold or technique.  Just let me know and I will see what I can do!

Here are just some of the projects we made during July. I also held my popular Christmas in July class; we had mince pies, a quiz, Christmas music and created two cards to start the prep for Christmas.  The ducky dip bag was restocked and everyone took home at least one prize.

We had fun playing with embossing paste and created pretty flowers using the stained glass window technique this month too.

Workshops 

Friday 11th September 7- 9:30pm, Godmanchester

We will be creating three beautiful vintage style book boxes using the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper.  Great as a home decor piece with space inside to store bits and pieces or, they would make lovely gift boxes if you can bare to part with them!

Cost: £25 and includes a full pack of DSP (£11.75), all materials, tuition and light refreshments.

Friday 1st September 7 - 9:30 pm, Godmanchester

Join me for an evening learning lots of ways to use Shimmery White Embossing Paste from Stampin' Up!  Please note, we will not be making completed cards - just lots of samples (card fronts).  Workshop includes a pot of shimmery paste (£7.50), a set of palette knives (£4.75) and some little lidded pots which you will be able to take home with you.

Cost: £26 and includes the items mentioned above, all materials, equipment, tuition and light refreshments.

We had a little play with the shimmery paste at a recent C & C session.  Judging by the reactions of the ladies there, this will be a popular workshop so, if you would like to join me please message me asap to reserve your place.

For all classes please bring basic craft tools with you (bone folder, scissors etc) if you have them.  Don't worry if you don't, I have spares you can use.  Please also bring your preferred adhesives.  I have limited supplies available on the day if you run out or forget!

My July Workshop saw us creating these fabulous home decor pieces.  I know several of you were disappointed that you were unable to join me for this one.  Happy to run the workshop again if there is enough interest. Projects can be customised and created in a variety of colours too! Just let me know and I will come up with a suitable date.

Almost time for new catalogue!

I have had a sneaky online peak - I am very excited about all the new products that will be available from the 6th September.  I am able to pre order products on the 2nd August so, hopefully I will have time to play with new goodies making projects for upcoming events and classes.  There are several suites I have my eye on and there are some absolutely stunning Designer Series Papers that I am sure will jump into my basket!

Wedding Invitations

I spent a lovely crafty day recently with two lovely ladies creating invitations for a wedding in a few months time.  The design brief was very specific and both ladies were novice crafters.  However, everything went smoothly and in no time (well almost) we had 40 invitations completed!
