Stampin' Up! - Swirly Bird and a top tip!

Hello, I am sharing with you today another example of how you can use those little triangle pieces in the Swirly Bird stamp set. I'm sure I have told you before but I absolutely love this set, in fact it is one of my all time favourite sets (to date).

I choose some of my favourite colours to work with:

I used the baby wipe technique to create a background - I was aiming for something that looked 'windy', does that make sense? This is such a simple but effective (and quick) way to create a background, I have used it several times at Coffee and Card sessions and everyone loves it.

On occasion I struggled to line up the two parts of the kite (think I need my eyes testing).

So, to save wasting time and cardstock I stamped the two images separately:

Then I cut out the solid triangles and lined them up carefully before sticking them down with some Tombow:

After trimming out carefully, I used a Stampin' Write Marker in the same colour and ran the brush tip along each side to cover any white edges.

Voila - one kite to use on a card!
