Beauty Abounds - stepped up
These colourful butterflies have certainly been very popular - so many lovely variations too which is fantastic!
! make no excuses for using the Rectangle Stitched Shape Fraemlits again - I think I have an addiction to them as I use them A LOT!
We created a simple frame with a panel of whisper white that was cut 5mm smaller than the card front.
We then cut the butterflies using the two large dies from thick whisper white card.
We used Tombow to carefully adhere the two pieces together.
As with our first project this week, we used the sponge daubers to add lots of colour to the butterflies with swirling and dabbing motions.
We used the splodge stamps to create a background.
We used the foam adhesive tape to adhere the frame and then positioned tiny snipped pieces of the foam behind the butterflies that would sit inside the frame.
The inside of the card and the envelope have been stamped to coordinate.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I love the bold colours on this project but on Tuesday, for a change Maggie and I had the same idea at the same time and decided to make a slightly different version of this project.
Of course, I like both versions and can't possibly decide which I prefer - no surprise there really!!
Thanks to everyone who joined me this week. I am travelling up to Telford tomorrow with three of my lovely duckings to attend OnStage. My swaps are ready and I have a fabulous gift for the ducklings - I'll share details with you over the weekend so I don't spoil the surprise!
I will share lots of photos with you as soon as I can - we are going to have an amazing time #excited!
I will share details of the projects for next week over the weekend too - I've not decided what we will be doing yet but as I say, something will present itself.
Hope you have a crafty weekend - I know I will!
Susan xx
