Beautiful Boughs - Let There Be Light!

Hello and welcome to the Joy of Sets Christmas Blog Hop.  We are a group of dedicated stampers who love to share our creations.  If you are joining me from Laura, or starting here with me - welcome I'm sure you will find lots of fabulous inspiration as you hop around with us.

Our challenge this month is 'anything goes'!

So I decided to come up with a little something that will be perfect as a thank you gift or a table decoration.  Inspiration for this project came to me several weeks ago when I took part in the Joy of Sets tic Tac Toe challenge blog hop.

Here are the colours I am using for my project.

Here are the items I used for my project; the die cuts were left over from my previous project.

My project started with a clean and dry glass jar.  I used a piece of sponge to dab Tombow glue all around.

I then sprinkled the jar with Ice Stampin' Glitter.

Top Tip
I always use a tub to store my glitter in.  Its easier to use a spoon and sprinkle the glitter and any excess falls straight back into the container.

At this point I decided to see if my tea light would fit.  Epic fail, it was too big!!  As usual, I was very short of time so I came up with a crafty solution (see below).

I used some of this stunning ribbon around the top of the jar adhering with glue dots.

I arranged the die cut pieces and also adhered these with lots of glue dots.

The little tag has been cut and stamped using the Tiny Keepsakes bundle.  I tied two tiny bells to the tag with a piece of linen thread and adhered to the jar with a mini dimensional.

As a finishing touch I added a little bow, adhered with a glue dot.

Here is my finished project.  To remedy my issue with the tea light I 'borrowed' some coin lights I have for a forthcoming workshop.  So pretty and very sparkly!

Here are both my projects.  You can find details for the card I made here from earlier this month for when I took part in the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toc Challenge.

I will be making several of these to decorate my table over the Christmas holidays.  Some of my crafty ladies had a sneaky peak of these projects and loved them so, I have decided that for my last workshop of 2019 we will make the two projects above and a mystery project.

This workshop has proved popular and I have had to change to bigger venue so that more people can join me.  I have also found some slightly larger jars that tea lights will fit in!  There are just a couple of places left - let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for hopping along with us, next up is Jackie Bultje who I am sure has something wonderful to share -  click the image below to visit!
