Beautiful Moments - Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another Stampers Showcase Blog Hop.  If you are starting our hop here with me or joining me from from my crafty friend Mo Rootes, welcome, I hope you enjoy our projects this month.

This month we are revisiting the Spring/Summer catalogue.

I have been using this lovely stamp set a lot recently for what would have been (in normal circumstances), my Coffee & Cards projects.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Beautiful Moments, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Stampers Showcase Blog Hop, Spring / Summer 2020, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

So far, I have only used one of the images using a variety of colouring techniques.  You can see these posts here and here.

Here is my third project using another colouring technique with this lovely image.

Beautiful Moments, Craftyduckydoodah!, Spring / Summer 2020, Stampers Showcase Blog Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

These are the colours I used for my project.

To create the Beautiful Moments card
21 cm x 14.5 cm Highland Heather scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm ww thick
10 cm x 14 cm ww regular
9 cm x 13 cm Highland Heather (for die cutting)
8 cm x 12 ww thick (for die cutting)

To create the background
I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder with the 10 cm x 14 cm ww thick card.  I love the tiny flowers this folder creates - it looks great on the reverse too!

I attached a length of Gorgeous Grape ribbon around the centre of the panel and adhered to the card front with double sided tape.

I then used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out two rectangles.  The Highland Heather rectangle  has been adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

To create the stamped panel
I used Memento ink to stamp this gorgeous lady - I extended the image using the flower stamp included in the set.

I coloured the image with Stampin' Blends.  I used the light Night of Navy to colour the flowers and then added a tiny dot of the dark pen near the stem.  Petal Pink (light) is perfect for colouring skin.

Top Tip
I also used my Pool Party (light) blend to draw an outline around the lady and then went over that with the Colour Lifter to blur the edge.  Hopefully, you can just about see it below.  This technique makes the image pop - it looks much better in real life!

The coloured panel has also been adhered with dimensionals.

I also stamped and coloured an insert for this project - oops, spot the mistake!

Here is the completed card and envelope.

I did tie a tiny bow with this lovely ribbon but at the last minute I decided not to add it.  I left my card without a sentiment so that I can add the one I need at a later date.

I hope you enjoyed my project, I was delighted to discover that this fabulous stamp set will be with us in the upcoming Annual Catalogue so I will get the chance to use the other images!  Next up is Leonie Stuart from Australia, click the image below to visit her blog.

Thanks for hopping along with us.  Stay safe and well, happy crafting!

Susan xx
