Love Of Leaves - stepped up
Hello, I'm back again with another project using a stamp and die bundle called Love Of Leaves.
Here is my project:
The colours I used:
You will need:
21 cm x 14.5 cm - scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 14 cm Seaside Spray
9.5 cm x 13.5 cm ww thick
ww thick for stamping and die cutting
The stamping and die cutting:
Using the inks shown above, stamp a selection of leaves onto ww thick card. Die cut with the coordinating dies adding the stitched viens. For this project I stamped off the Old Olive and Shaded Spruce inks.
The sentiment:
Die cut a Stitched Rectangle using thick ww card. Stamp the sentiment with Night of Navy ink. I love the font on this sentiment - I wish my own handwriting was this neat!
To assemble:
Adhere the Seaside Spray panel to the card base with double sided tape. Add the ww layer with dimensionals.
Shape and curl the leaves and assemble using dabs of Tombow on the stems only. If necessary add a dimensional to help the leaves hold their shape. Adhere the sentiment with dimensionals - I placed mine on the ends of the sentiment only as there was quite a bit of depth where the stems overlapped. Remember, you can trim the ends off the stems before adhering! The two small Seaside Spray leaves were added last with dabs of Tombow on the stems so that I could tuck under the sentiment but have part of the leaf on top.
I added some of my favourite Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to draw the eye in to the image and for a bit of sparkle.
The inside/envelope:
I stamped a selection of leaves along the edge to create a colourful border. Again I stamped off the Old Olive and Shaded Spruce leaves.
The completed project:
This particular card will be winging its way to my friend who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow.
