Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms - first meeting and a Craftyducky photo opportunity!

Hello, I was very excited earlier today; I went to Milton Keynes to meet someone who I have never met before ...

Michelle is a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who lives in Germany - we have been friends on Facebook now for many months.  I first came across Michelle when I was trying to set up my Blog (it seems ages ago now).  After seeing my post asking for help, Michelle very kindly helped me out with a technical problem and we have been friends ever since!

Of course I had to make something special to celebrate the occassion didn't I?

I haven't used Botanical Blooms since the picture workshops I ran during June and July so out they came ...

A little stamping and many die cuts later, I came up with this ...

Stampin Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Botanical Blooms, Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, Supplies available 24/7,

I bought the slate heart in a local shop in Huntingdon and thought that it would make a lovely decorative item for Michelle to hang in her craft room. If I had remembered to buy some chalk, I would have written a message on it for her too.

When I had finished, I made a quick box and a matching tag.

The only problem was that it would not fit in the box properly without bending two of the leaves - oops!

Of course I took  my little craftyducky with me for a photo opportunity ...

It was so lovely to meet Michelle and her husband Jorg - we talked for ages over coffee(s) and cake about all sorts of things; not just SU!!

Michelle and Jorg will continue on their travels to Wales later this week - they are going to see the Dr Who Experience; so jealous!
