Stampin' Up! Garden in Bloom - for a special birthday!

Hello, the card I am sharing with you today has been made for a lovely, lovely lady called Pat who celebrated her birthday 84th yesterday!

I see Pat most weeks at the Grand Piano Cafe where I hold my regular Coffee & Card sessions.  We always have a bit of a chat and she has crafted with me on the odd occassion too.  Last week she ordered a batch of Christmas cards; she has 7 sisters and wanted to give them all a special card (identical) - can you imagine the que for the bathroom in that house?  I had enough trouble getting in the bathroom with just the one sister!

Pat chose 13 of these lovely simple cards; each one had a personalised insert.

I packaged the cards in one of the new Gusseted Cellophane Bags and made a tag to match the cards - they are so useful and not just for bottles either!

Pat was very pleased with her cards!

I have a pretty good idea what Pat's favourite colours are - she has the most amazing handbag so I tried to match the colours for her card to it.  I used a stamp set called Garden in Bloom.  The sentiments in this set are so lovely and one of them was just right for the lovely Pat!

Instead of using black ink I used Smoky Slate for a softer look - I will be doing this again!

I hope she liked her card, I know she had a special day with her family and that she had lots of cake!!
