Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams - quick and simple

Hello, this is the first project we made this week using Dragonfly Dreams - a new bundle = 10% saving!  Mind you, given how heavy it has been raining over the weekend and this morning, I think it might have been more suitable to use last weeks stamp set again with the umbrella!

I love to use lots of white cardstock on my projects, particularly a white background with a white mat on top!

I decided to keep the colour scheme for this card simple, really simple - Marina Mist and Whisper White and nothing else!

I have not used this inlay technique for several years but I thought this intricate die cut of the dragonfly would be perfect to give it a go again!

Once the shape is cut out all you have to do is add your chosen colour of cardstock behind the aperture and then carefully add a small amount of adhesive to the body only on the dragonfly and then place in back into the cardstock.  You can either leave the wings flat or lift them slightly and curl then if you like to add more dimension to your cards.

Here is the completed card, the inside and the front of the envelope also received some splatters from my all time favourite stamp set, Gorgeous Grunge.

I had so much fun making this card that I might have got a little carried away - I made lots of them in different colours and sent a bundle wrapped in ribbon as a gift for a friend!
