Stampin' Up! Avant Garden - stepped up

Hello,  a rather late post from after another hectic week - thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow!  Here are the details for the second project from Coffee & cards this week.

I really like the 'sketchy' feel of the flower image in this stamp set, it seems to look great in whatever colour it is stamped in!  On Tuesday Louise chose to stamp her card in Flirty Flamingo with the leaves in Soft Suede - it looked amazing!  I am trying to persuade her to take a photo for me ...

I took two options for my sessions this week as I could not decide whether I preferred a white on white look or a Pool Party card base.

The majority of my crafty ladies preferred the Pool Party cardbase!

To create the background we drew around the Stitched Shape Framelit - we used the second largest circle as a guideline to stamp the flowers around.

A few splatters in Crumb Cake (stamped off first) and then the edges of the card were scuffed up using a pair of old scissors to give a lovely shabby chic feel to the card.

We also stamped a simple flower and stem on the insert and on the envelope.

It was lovely to see all the variations that my crafty ladies came up with this week.  Note to self: make sure you take a camera to Coffee & Card sessions so that I can share photographs!

I've still not made up my mind which version I prefer - but if I had to choose, I think it would be the Whisper White version!

Next week we will be using a stamp set called Moon Baby which is featured in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.  I will post details in the next day or so but here is a snapshot to whet your appetite!

Hope you can join me for so crafty fun soon!
