Stampin' Up! Happiest of Days quick & simple

Hello, I shared some designs made with the images in this stamp set with my crafty ladies last week.  I am pleased to say they loved them all!  There is something about cards that have lots of white space.  White space on a design allows your stamped image to be the centre of attention; our eyes see a clean and organised design better than something that has a lot going on.  This is a bit like my craft work space - when it is cluttered I can't see/find anything and when it is neat and tidy ...  I'm sure you know what I mean!

To me, white on white cards look elegant and this is exactly what many of my crafty ladies said about these cards.

This week for Coffee & Cards we don't have two projects - you can choose which images you would like to use from the Happiest of Days stamp set.

There are a lovely mix of classy and sassy images in this set with sentiments that have fantastic fonts.

How about this simple card for a birthday ... so quick and simple to make. Some quick and simple stamping, a bit of coloring and a few jewels for a bit of sparkle!  The stamped panel was mounted to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and the bottom corners rounded on both the panel and the card front.

There is also a lovely leaf image in this set that is perfect for a bit of decoration on the inside...

Here is the completed card and envelope (the envelope was also decorated to match)

I used Pro Markers to add a little colour to the images but you could create quite a different effect with water colour pencils - perhaps a water colour smoosh as a background?  Now there is an idea!
