Stampin' Up! Cheers to the Year - quick & simple
Hello, lots of lovely gold and silver sparkle around this morning using the Cheers to the Year stamp set for Coffee & Cards.
Mixed metals are everywhere at the moment from home decor to jewellery so, I thought we would try it on our projects for this week.
We started by embossing a panel of cardstock with the Winter Wonder TIEF to create a background - I do like white on white cards!
The crafty ladies this morning had never tried heat embossing before - they were very impressed with the results! I can still remember how excited I felt when I first tried this technique over 25 years ago ...
As a change from stamping our envelopes this week we embossed the flap.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
For this sample I chose to use only gold snowflakes but look at all the lovely cards that were made this morning - lots of lovely multi coloured / layered snowflakes.
After forgetting her brand new tool kit for the last two weeks, Lesley remembered to bring it with her for the first time! (I might have sent her a message or two as a reminder)!
